How Artemble came to be - and why it matters
The Beginning
Artemble began with a single frustration: that the world's most gifted painters were invisible to the collectors who would love their work most.
The platforms that existed were either too large - overwhelming, undiscriminating - or too closed, accessible only to artists who already had gallery representation and collectors who already had connections. The middle was empty. We built Artemble to fill it.
The Belief
We believe that original art belongs in homes, not in investment portfolios. We believe that the painter working in a studio in Kyoto or Valencia or Lagos deserves the same access to serious collectors as any artist shown in a London gallery. And we believe that a collector - whether buying their first painting or their fiftieth - deserves to know exactly who made it, how it was made, and why.
The Curation
Artemble is not a marketplace. It is a gallery - with all the responsibility that word implies. Every artist on this platform has been personally reviewed. Every work has been assessed against our standards. We accept fewer than one in ten applications. Not to be exclusive for its own sake, but because curation is a promise - to collectors, and to artists.
The Experience
Every painting on Artemble ships directly from the artist's studio to the collector's door, fully insured, with a Certificate of Authenticity and a personal note from the artist. The distance between creation and collection should feel like a privilege, not a transaction.
